Are the numbers reliable?
Data capture is vitally important for workforce planning in conjunction with the design and delivery of services for the future.
The Health and Social Care environment has never had to provide services for an aging population. As we drive towards patient-led outcomes, we must focus less on short term targets and more on long term holistic care pathways which draw on best practice and problem solving. Ensuring people can manage their condition with the occasional ‘blip’ will be more cost effective than waiting for a crisis before being able to access services.
